This turkey vulture and I looked each other in the eye. He was quite nervous at his perch and was poised to fly at any sign of threat.
I continued taking photos as he skittishly glanced toward his escape route and then back at me.
There was one primary factor that caused this vulture to look at me with fear: LIFE! I was alive.
Had I been a carcass, he would have looked into my eyes with boldness to pluck them out before devouring the rest of me.
Holy Spirit reminded me this morning of His LIFE inside me. The enemy has no power against LIFE. He seeks to devour, but he is a scavenger.
In the presence of LIFE the enemy trembles in fear.
I shuffled from my photography stance and lowered the camera. It was too much for the opportunist! He flew off to seek out the dead.
