Who am I this week?

THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY

You are the premier HALLELUJAH of God’s creation! What a thought!

The phrase “To the praise of His glory” is repeated three times in the first 14 verses of Ephesians 1. The phrase “In Him [Christ]” is repeated seven times!

Oneness with Christ makes YOU exist as the PRAISE of God’s GLORY!

Remember WHO you ARE? You have every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, you are chosen, adopted, accepted, redeemed, forgiven, entrusted, and God’s inheritance!

And now, you exist as the PRAISE of His GLORY!

“…that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation…” ~ Ephesians 1:12

Unlike the rest of creation, humankind is the only one made in His image and who can be a habitation (temple, sanctuary, holy place) for the Creator Himself, Jesus Christ. Sin came destroying the relationship with God. But Jesus came that we might be remade, a NEW creation. God’s intent from the beginning of time is the unobstructed fellowship of His presence in our lives. And as His presence is manifest in us, we become the pinnacle of praise to His existence, His character, and His lovingkindness!

Think about this! From the beginning of time, you were created to exist for the PRAISE of HIS GLORY!

God’s children are his choir. Not a singing one, but a living one!

Our lives ARE PRAISE, extolling the Living God, manifesting His presence.

It is your nature to be PRAISE to God! It is natural because it is WHO you are in Jesus. It comes with adoption into God’s family. You did not earn it and can not be disqualified from it. Like a tree made into a beautiful violin. You are His instrument designed with purpose and function. Enjoined with the Master, euphonious melodies erupt in a symphony of praise!

It is your choice to live intentionally as “imitators of God” (Ephesians 5:1). Intentionality is how we practice the position of WHO we are.

Intentional living looks like this:

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

Practice WHO you are with deliberate intention.

Conversely, living contrary to our nature in Christ is a subtle forms of hypocrisy. If I am in Christ, but believe my nature is sin, then I have an excuse for acting like a sinner in areas of my life. The lie that I’m a sinner (saved by grace), denies the position and power to live in alignment with Christ’s character and causes me to act like someone I’m not. It robs me of being like Jesus.

Living contrary to WHO you are in Jesus is not fitting. It doesn’t suit you. It looks and feels awkward. It’s uncomfortable. Deep down you recognize that something’s not right.

Our reality is this: we exist for the PRAISE of God’s glory. We can choose to live in alignment with this purpose of God and discover what it means to walk as Jesus walked manifesting the presence and power of God in our environment and to all around us.

After an intimate encounter with the presence of God, Moses came back to the people. Moses’ face shone so magnificently with the presence (glory) of God that the people were afraid to come near him. So, Moses had to put a veil over his face to tone it down (Exodus 34).

The Presence upon Moses was temporary. But now, through Jesus, the Spirit indwells you and His presence is permanent. When we (mind, soul, body) facilitate His presence in our character, attitudes, and actions, we trumpet the praises of His undeniable presence. His presence brings deliverance, healing, and freedom to those around us.

Now, look in the mirror. Do you see His glory? It’s there. Take off the mask of lies and look into your own eyes. Jesus inside of you – the GLORY of God inhabiting your body!

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” ~ 2 Corinthians 3:18

Transformed and conformed into the likeness of Jesus! Recognize His presence in you and walk in your destiny: THE PRAISE of GOD’S GLORY!

Glorious Moon and Bird

“Glorious”

As the crescent moon was setting in the early morning I noticed the little bird on the wire. Looking toward the moon, the bird appeared to be enjoying the view from its perch. The beauty of the moon always reminds me of glory. The moon is the glory of the sun. The light it emits is not inherent in itself. It comes from the sun. I exist for the praise of God’s glory. I emit His light and manifest His presence (glory) to all. The bird reminds me to rest in the light of God’s glory.
